No experience needed. Ages 6 and up. Can you take a deep breath? Then you can meditate! Learn breathing techniques and relaxation tools to keep you calm and centered in the midst of all your hustle and bustle. Meditation is key to staying healthy and happy, remaining in the present moment, giving the body and mind time to heal. New to meditation? Check out our 'Participation Hints' page. A medical intuitive, Kaydence was born with enough gifts of energy and insight to feel very out of place in this world. Family and friends were not always kind about her "being so different" or her "acting weird" as they would call it. But even before she fully accepted her inherent nature, she began her quest of knowledge, learning everything she could about herself and others like her. Today's society calls them empaths, lightworkers, Shamans, teachers and healers. Currently she has studied and is ever learning more about Chinese medicine, tribal medicine, reiki, auric field discovery, meditation, the human body, and religious/sacred ceremonies from around the globe. Her motto is "we'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll figure it out!"
Qigong Classes. Session dates: Fridays @ 11AM. $12.50 per person at the door. Ask about our 12-week flex pass! Ages 14 and up. Kaydence Laughingbear will be guiding students in this ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and gentle movements. Regular practice brings about a deep strengthening effect for the whole body and its various systems (nervous, digestive, hormonal, etc.) Qigong can have a powerful effect on mind, body, and spirit. Benefits can include increased general health and well being, reduced levels of stress, and a brighter outlook on life’s possibilities. We look forward to having you join us for this wonderful healing opportunity. Classes will be held in the garden under the oaks as weather permits. If not, classes will move indoors in the Peace Cottage. Dress comfortably, bring your yoga mat, and come ready to relax! If you don't have a yoga mat, we can provide one for you.
The Singing Bowl Sessions. Session date: TBA $3.00 per person.
Ages 10 and up. Learn how to use a singing bowl for the ultimate in self-soothing and personal meditation. Never played one? Join us and see how easy it is! Come in for this group session to learn technique and see how wonderful your bowl can sound both at home and while singing it in healing harmonic unison with others. Chant and vocal toning techniques may also be implemented to expand your experience in self-soothing. Bring your own bowl, or borrow one of the many bowls we have in-house.
Seated Sound Bath Meditation. Session date: TBA
$10.00 donation. Call-in reservations are suggested as space is limited. Not recommended for those with a history of epilepsy/seizures. Ages 12 and up. For thousands of years, sound has been widely used for spiritual practice, worship and meditation. These activities have resulted in a positive outlook towards understanding the self and beyond. This meditation session allows the participant to experience the inner nature of the self with assistance from the sounds and vibrations created by Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Drums, Bells and other traditional instruments. Promotes deep relaxation, reduces pain, stress and anxiety. Strengthens immune system, improves memory and learning. Dispels chronic anger, fear and worry. Lifts weight of sorrow and grief....and much more! Doors open 15 minutes prior to session. Can't make it to a group session? Private appointments are available. Call for more info.
